His father and mother, both of German descent, belonged to prospering families in the clothing manufacturing industry. Situation two: writing In a 100-150 words, write a biography conveying the qualities of a famous lawyer you know or heard about. Presentations Session9 and 10 : Lesson 6 Sales in recessions Situation one : Listening and speaking Sales Strategy indicates that all business owners need to employ during a recession. Grant Cardone gives business owners 3 strategies for success during difficult economic trends .After you watch the video entitled “Sales and Recession “,in 5-7 minute oral presentation and in a pair group,depict a situation where recession prevails and unemployment inflicts a large population in the world and you are a famous economist suggesting recommendations and policies which would alleviate recession. Situation Two: writing Recession is the word which signals declining sales, mounting inventories, declining margins, employees demotivation, uncertainty of cash flows. It is the obvious measures like across-the-board cost cutting often end up destroying value. It is those who can look beyond the obvious (and often erroneous) who emerge as winners. Write a composition of 100-250 words conveying how marketing in recessionary times is different from the boom times and needs to be adaptive in the changed circumstances.Firstly ,you should develop the perspectives for marketing in recession. Course Description Intensive English for Lawyers 1 is intended for everybody who has a special interest in law and needs to use the English of the law for their studies or work. In particular, it is for practicing lawyers, law students and academic lawyers at universities and law schools. The purpose of Intensive English for Lawyers 2 is to teach native speakers of other languages to comprehend and employ the language of the law in English. In particular it aims to teach foreign law students and lawyers how to select, interpret and utilize original legal materials of any kind in English in the course of their studies, research or work. Through an extensive variety of exercises based on authentic legal texts, readers will progressively learn the reading, vocabulary and study skills indispensable to work independently on legal materials of their own choice. Intensive English for Lawyers 1 presents about 400 general and specialized law terms, and teaches techniques for building up systematically a wide legal vocabulary in fields of special interest to the learners. Learners will be encouraged to practice the language presented throughout the course in a variety of speaking and writing activities. Intensive English for Lawyers 1 provides an introduction to some important aspects of the English legal system- it employs materials that present the language of different areas of law in their nature context. Course Objectives The main objective of the course is to expand and construct learners' legal terminology, lexis expressions, classroom discussion skills, and presentation capabilities. Intensive Legal Language 1 covers many different types of law, for example, commercial law, family law, criminal law, intellectual property law, media law, to name but a few. By the end of the term, students will be able to do the following: 1-employ the specialized legal terminology, lexis and expressions simply and precisely, both orally and in writing. 2-listen effectively to speakers and audio-visual presentations. 3-develop understanding of the fundamental Legal structures. 4-understand and take effective notes on extended lectures, including how to follow the argument and identify the speaker's point of view. 5-participate effectively in a variety of realistic situations and develop an argument and use stance markers. 6-produce coherent and well-structured assignments such skills as paraphrasing and the use of appropriate academic phrases. 7- Use key vocabulary, both in the field of law and of academic study in general.
